Hello, happy New Year and welcome back to JMC’s monthly cartoon collection. The year is barely underway but there is already a lot to cartoon. News stories and client commissions have been providing excellent source material for some new pictures. Of course, if you would like to give your publications, presentations, social media marketing a new look for the new year by featuring cartoons, you can contact me here as always.
The festive season was as busy as ever and I would like to thank everyone who ordered Christmas or seasonal card designs. I’m really pleased with how they turned out this year (if I’m allowed to say that) and I will hopefully feature my favourites in a separate Christmas gallery. Thank you also to all those who supported the Guild of Entrepreneurs Trust this Christmas and bought cards and the limited edition cartoon booklet.
A final thank you is for all the book orders. Though I post current affairs cartoons here as a showcase/portfolio, a book of cartoon commentary was a new direction commercially and I was heartened by the response. 2017 may be fading from memory, but is still fresh enough to be funny so – in case you missed out – Drawn From 2017 is still available on this site and from all good booksellers.
There are many and various plans for my cartoons, writing and artwork in 2018. I will endeavour to keep you informed about all the new projects… and how you could be involved, if you would like. Until then, I wish you all the best for 2018 and I hope you enjoy the cartoons.
